Formalities For Private Yacht berthed in Mykonos
All European flag vessels arriving in Greece are compelled to be issued with a “Cruising Log”
which is known in Greek as DEKPA. This is issued by the Port Police in the entry port and it is
compulsory to remain on board for the entire stay in Greek waters and need not be handed in
upon departure.
All Non-European flag vessels upon your arrival in Greece you should obtain a “Transit Log” and
complete the check-in formalities. All the required information concerning the yacht , yachtsmen ,
crew, intended route , passport numbers, inventory list and any other obligatory matters must be
entered on the transit log. Customs Authorities, during the execution of their duties in cooperation with the Port Authorities,
issue a Transit Log book of determinate duration for pleasure crafts that bear the flag of non-E.U countries.
The port authorities of the first port of call also have the competence to issue the Bulletin of
Sailing for pleasure craft, which do not need a Transit Log book. Greek-flag pleasure craft also
need such a Bulletin.
The Transit Log book is a temporary entry title for the temporary free movement and stay of a foreign craft in Greek waters, with the sole purpose of a pleasure trip and tour by passengers coming from abroad for tourism or in transit.
Competent to issue or renew Transit Logs are customs offices in harbors that have been classified as ports of call. Legally authorized to act as a clearing agent, clearing yachts in/out of Greek waters, we have corresponding agents throughout the Greek Islands who will be happy to assist you for the duration of your visit to Greece.
Apart from the docking places provided by public or private marinas, 3,000 extra yachts can be accommodated in the Greek ports. Small and picturesque moorings have been created and equipped in many ports of Greece, such as the port of Mykonos. Thanks to the construction of piers and sea walls, these places are particularly safe for boat anchoring.
Refueling and provisioning facilities are available to docked boats.
We are the only company in Mykonos who can arrange berthing in the small pier in old Port and is only 20m from the heart of Mykonos Town(only for yachts with 2.80 draft).
